BMW of America is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and we’re getting in on the fun at CarBuzz. BMW has a soft spot in our hearts for many reasons; the company usually takes its “Ultimate Driving Machine” tagline very seriously, and as a result, many of us have owned one (or many) in the past. In fact, our staff currently counts at least one BMW 3 Series and one Z4 among our personal vehicles. So when the time came for us to pick our favorites of the last half-century, there were some opinions that united the staff and others that divided us. But after hashing it out for a couple of days, we finally circled up 15 winners, ranging from never-gonna-happen dream cars to surprisingly attainable daily drivers.
