Electric vehicles have taken a bit of a beating recently, with sales of the machines not taking off to the heights that manufacturers had hoped for before they started pledging billions of dollars towards developing new electric powertrains and platforms. Hybrid cars have proven to be more successful with new buyers, though affordable EVs definitely have their place. They are excellent town cruisers due to how smooth and quiet they are, and the lower mileage they need to cover in these situations means you likely won’t be hit with crippling range anxiety.
