The Wiesmann brothers, from Dülmen in Germany, loved retro-styled and classic British roadsters, and wanted to create a series of hand-built vehicles like these for a discerning clientele. The vehicles would be lightweight and rely on bespoke craftsmanship but, crucially, they would also be performance-oriented and real “driver’s” cars. However, the Wiesmanns weren’t too enamored with British motors and turned to some German engineering precision instead for their powertrains.
