They called it “The American Wonder”. It was 1925, and the Houdina Radio Control company revealed its “American Wonder” car on New York streets. The car was an American-made Chandler Metropolitan sedan, and it was supposedly a giant radio-controlled car, with a person stationed in a car following said “American Wonder”, controlling the Chandler’s driving controls via a crude remote control system.
