The Jeep community is a special one. Like a lot of vehicle owner groups, Jeep has its own special set of things that make it and its owners unique, inlcuding the ‘Jeep wave’ tradition. But, unlike other car brands, the sheer number of customs and in-jokes that the Jeep community has is simply off the charts. For starters, there is “Ducking,” the practice of having small rubber ducks that Jeep owners collect and trade with other Jeep owners in an assassin-style game usually played in parking lots or at meetups. There’s also the classic saying, “it’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand,” a mantra used to describe the actions of Jeep owners that we non-believers simply can’t wrap our heads around, which mostly boils down to actions like intentionally parking on curbs, and driving without their doors on.
