Next year, that’s 2026, marks the 50th anniversary of the Volkswagen Golf GTI hot hatch, with 2025 marking 50 years since it was first unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. To celebrate, the German automaker has launched an Edition 50 model, which has now become the fastest production VW ever to lap the Nürburgring.
