When it comes to combining power and majesty in one smooth package, there are few better specimens than Volkswagen-Audi Group (VAG)’s W12 engine. It has featured as the headline act in several of VAGs plushest creations over the past couple of decades, like the Volkswagen Phaeton and a swathe of Bentleys, at least until it was retired in favor of its more-efficient twin-turbo V8 in 2024.
