The AMG M156 V8 Engine Shared A Designer With The Porsche Carrera GT’s V10

There was an era, not long ago, when virtually all Mercedes‘ AMG performance models bore the “63 AMG” suffix after their names. In English, this alphanumeric title had an especially nice ring to it – Sixty Three, A M G. The crop of German performance models from 2006 to 2011 stood to become a bunch of much-loved performance cars as they virtually all used the same nomenclature, and shared engines. It was a Brady Bunch on wheels, V8 style.
