The second half of the iconic two-decade battle between Mitsubishi and Subaru met its end back in 2021, with the demise of the WRX STI. Its Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution sparring partner received the axe over half a decade prior. Still, Subaru decided to keep giving the fans what they wanted for a little longer by prolonging the life of its JDM sports sedan challenger. The famous Impreza moniker may have been long gone on it by 2021, but the WRX STI was every bit its successor.
