The Nissan Altima can be considered many things, but truly sporty isn’t one of them. The mid-sized sedan has been a staple on US roads since the early 90s, and throughout that time, millions of buyers have found their way behind the wheel. From the beginning, this has primarily been due to two factors: affordability and practicality. Everything else played second fiddle, and for a while, this combination worked great. However, in the early 2000s, Nissan got the performance itch, and the performance sedan was just what the doctor ordered.
