Subaru Is Maybe, Just Maybe, Bringing Back The WRX STI

When it revealed the latest-generation WRX for 2022, Subaru disappointed us all by saying there wouldn’t be a proper STI version coming for this generation. The automaker did its best to compensate in the US with the sharper-edged WRX tS – complete with STI pink accents – but neither that model nor the rumored S210 are not enough for hardcore rally fans. Well, their wait may be coming to an end. During a press preview for Japanese motorsports journalists, Subaru flashed a teaser image of an unidentified, wide-body vehicle, reigniting rumors of the proper STI’s return.
