Toyota Is About To Make The GR Corolla Less Japanese

The Toyota GR Corolla is the Japanese automaker’s best-selling manual vehicle, beating out the GR86 coupe, GR Supra coupe, and the Tacoma pickup truck. It moved more than 5,000 units in 2023, and its sibling in Europe, the GR Yaris, has moved similar numbers so far. Both GR hatchbacks are produced at the same factory in Japan, but now that’s likely to change due to demand for more performance models in North America, reports Reuters, with Toyota reportedly making big plans to move GR Corolla production to the United Kingdom.
