In 1908, Henry Ford revolutionized the car industry by creating an efficient production line, building the Ford Model T. Cars were built much quicker and more efficiently than before, with a conveyor system bringing the business of assembly to the actual workers, along a line with sequentials tasks. Also, thanks to the introduction of interchangable, pre-fabricated parts that no longer required specialist artisans to hand-craft individual parts, costs were greatly reduced. These cost-savings resulted in an affordable car… and the Model T changed the world forever.
