
Auto manufacturers are often called out for diluting their brands, cutting corners when it comes to quality and reliability, and generally not making cars like they did in the ‘good old days’. While this can certainly ring true in some cases, we wanted to see for ourselves whether vehicles like the iconic BMW 3 Series had suffered the same fate. After all, the original sports sedan was the Bavarian manufacturer’s core offering for decades, so if there is evidence of cost-cutting and brand dilution here, then we have a real problem.
